I'm raising money to buy a set of chromebooks for my math classroom. As a math teacher, I know that having access to technology can make mathematics engaging and intuitive for my scholars. A number of excellent programs such as Desmos and Dreambox help scholars develop their understanding in ways that build powerful mathematical understanding. Additionally, I am committed to preparing my scholars for high school, college, and career. With access to more technology, scholars will be able to craft formal letters based on data and mathematical reasoning, gaining writing skills that will help them no matter what they do in life. In order to give my scholars access both to formal writing and to innovative paths to mathematical understanding, I need a class set of computers. If this wish receives funding it will benefit my scholars immensely.
