Students will be divided into groups of four. After reading a short story and analyzing the mood of the story, they will each be given a different mood that they will create using one scence from the story.

One group will be given the original mood of the story, while four other groups will be given alternate tones and moods that they will then create.

After developing ideas for their stories, students will then take snapshots of the scenes using props and digital media.

Each group will then present their photographs and students will be asked to identify the mood that each group presented. They will also discuss how each group created the different moods and how it affected the scene.
