Word Art Biography
1) File > Page set up > Choose landscape (horizontal) not portrait (vertical)
2) Save as > find your H: drive > multimedia folder > word art
3) Format > borders and shading > PAGE border > art (or a line if you prefer)
4) View > Toolbars > check > Standard – Formatting – Drawing – Picture
5) Word art on bottom button bar > Name, Family, Friends and Pets, Goals, Hobbies
6) After each one is typed > left click on it (see the black frame)> format > layout > in front of text (This “releases” it from being imbedded on the paper so that it can float – see the “floating bubbles”.)
7) Insert > picture > clip art > After it is inserted, left click on it – see the black frame > format > layout > in front of text Now see the “floating bubbles".
8) Choose the text box icon from the bottom button bar…AS SOON AS the drawing canvas appears – delete it and THEN draw your textbox. You can change the color and line appearance by highlighting the textbox so that there is gray shading. Right click on the gray shading > colors and lines > choose a color and a shape. You can also change the inside color. Do not choose a dark color – it saturates the printer.
9) Take a picture of yourself – save it to your file (see camera upload directions) – insert > picture from file > format > layout > in front of text
10) Anytime you want something to layer over another text or picture > Right click on it > Order > send in front or behind as you need to
11) Print to the Library Color Printer ACMS 5500
12) Hand in to tray on front desk |
