1)The Children will first make a storyboard describing the main componets of the story(characters, setting, plot).

2) The children will make the setting(s). The teacher with the help of the students can take a series of photos of the charaters in the settings. Moving the figures in between the photos.

3) Upload photos to computer, rename the photos.

4)Using a photo animation software combine all photos to make the story.

Depending on the grade level the students may be able to work in groups and can take the pictures themselves.
Cross-Curriculum Ideas
Students can retell a concept learned in another content area. Students can take pictures of a plant growing and make it into a stop motion video.

Share on class webpage, or make a disk to send home.
