The students will photograph weekly events on campus and publish them to the school web page. This page will serve as a student driven informational component to keep the entire student body updated on current and pending events. They will use webpage design software to develop an editorial page to be attached to the school web page. The initial web page will serve as an informational guide to all school events during the entire year. A monthly calendar will be downloaded to the web page with the weekly events outlined in descriptive language and a visual format.
Each week the students will check the calendar provided by the student body advisor to determine what the upcoming events will be for the coming weeks. They will asertain how they may depict these events in photos as well as descriptive language. They will use the Point and Shoot Digital Camera to take their photos. The students will develop the appropriate layout for this page and determine how they intend to format the page with the information aligned with the appropriate photos. They have to consider space and size of each photo and the information that must be included with the photo. The students will share thier photos and choose the ones that they feel best depict the event and download it to the web page. They will work in two groups to develop the appropriate text. They will use Mind Mapping software to assist them in this process. Each photo will depict the event and provide important information about the events. |

The students will have some assistance from our computer lab aides. These are students that create web pages for the site. It is a great opportunity for the two populations to integrate and work on an important project for the student body. |
