1. Students will brainstorm ideas for articles and discuss activities taking place in the school for the month.

2. Assign groups of students to certain topics and events. Within the group there should be a photographer, writer, and editor.

3. During classtime students will create a layout for the newsletter on the predesigned masthead.

4. The final project will be approved by the teacher, copied, and distributed for parents, school staff, and district personnel.
Materials: Digital SLR, Mobile Labs, Word Processor, Clipart, English and Language Arts, Keyboarding, xD Memory Cards, Flash/USB Drives, Batteries
