1. In groups of four, develop the necessary parts of a news presentation: News, Features, Sports, and weather. Determine who will take on each segment.
2. Each student is responsible for writing a 2-3 minute (minimum) presentation in the TL about their topic.
3. It is imparative to practice this speaking activity for at least half of a class period to promote accuracy, correct pronunciation and correct usage of the language.
4. Using a digital camera, each group is to film the various partners performing their tasks.
5. The groups will then use Microsoft Movie Maker (or another program) to assemble the film into a full length broadcast.
6. Grading will be based on: Speaking, Grammar/ Accuracy, creativity, peer work, and self evaluation. The assembly of the video will also be part of the grade. (A good video will indicate cast members, "Channel" and a division between segments.
