Recalling/Sequencing Events Page Views: 282
|
The student will attend a community outing (caroling to bed ridden patients at a local hospital). With pictures, students will sequence the events as they happened. This will improve their memory retention and improve their self-esteem by understanding what good he/she did by caroling to bed-ridden patients. The student will recall events on an outing by viewing pictures from an outing. This will improve his/her ability to respond appropriately to their behavior/memory/adaption skills to an unfamiliar environment. |

This is an important aspect to transitioning for children with special needs. They will need to be able to behavior appropriately, demonstrate understanding of the good their doing, mobility (for some), follow directions, express empathy towards others, and recall/sequence events, from un-routine day. |
