A to Z Photo Journal Page Views: 245

1. With the Tool Factory Mobile Digital Camera Lab, students will take pictures during a field trip. It's like a scavenger hunt because each "team" or individual tries to photograph one item for each letter of the alphabet. For example, at the zoo, one group may take a picture of a CAMEL while another group finds a CANARY.
2. When we return have the teams create pages (presentation software) with their assigned letter using all the pictures from each group. Each picture must be accompanied by a caption (writing descriptive sentences).
3. Print pages and bind books.
4. Have students read aloud the captions they've written in a group sharing time. |

This plan can be adapted to fit any field trip. This can also be done without a field trip. For example, students could research musical instruments and create an A to Z book describing the instrument and it's origin. |
