Interactive Whiteboard Enriches Learning for Low-Income Students!

I teach first grade in a rural community in Washington state. Most of my students enter first grade without the skills needed to learn. My high percentage of English Language Learners need opportunities to enrich their learning through creative outlets that make academics exciting. Many of my students live in poverty and only have the bare basics at home. I'd love to create an active and enriching classroom full of materials and supplies that will bring education to life. All of my students need instruction that motivates them and gets them eager to learn.

When students have access to an interactive whiteboard, learning becomes even more powerful. Lessons unfold as students actively engage in the material. Students are given multiple opportunities to practice and refine their skills on this valuable piece of technology. They build confidence as they learn together. They're motivated and excited about expanding their learning. They're involved in the education process as they learn vital subject matter.

Imagine these students having the opportunity to witness things they've never seen before...a tiger feeding her babies, the first person landing on the moon, a whale breaching, and a moth breaking out of its cocoon. All seen on the big screen. Together, as a caring classroom community. Getting a first hand look at how their books connect to the real world.

I'm asking for an interactive whiteboard that I can use throughout the day to make learning more exciting as the curriculum comes to life. This whiteboard is the leading educational tool today. I believe my low-income students deserve a chance to learn with such a great manipulative that will keep them captivated. They deserve to have access to the best. I know a tool such as this plays a critical role in curriculum.

I want my students to have access to a powerful learning environment.
