1. Discuss, view, and listen to classic songs of protest (Bob Dylan, Janis Joplin, Bob Marley, etc.)
2. Discuss current issues in American society.
3. Link current songs to those issues.
4. Students will pick a song from 2000-present to study, photograph, and explain.
5. Using digital cameras, video editing, or other software, students will create a music video that explains the issue of protest in their song.
6. Students will present their videos to the class.
7. Students will type up a summary of their issue, a plan for presenting it through photos, and a reflective journal about the process.

Could be combined with American History.
Materials: Point and Shoot, Digital SLR, Mobile Labs, Video Editing, Camera Bags, xD Memory Cards, Flash/USB Drives, Batteries
