Each group will go out with a parent helper or assistant to find items to start with "their letters." (The teacher or instructional technologist will print the pictures and load them to student computers.)
Day 2 and 3- The teacher gathers the students to show the pictures that were taken. As a class they will do interactive writing to write the words for the pictures.
Day 4- Armed with clipart letters and the pages for the book, the students will each create a page for their own "Letters are Found" alphabet books. |

This lesson could easily be adapted for second and third graders where they do their own writing. They could add rhyming or other "twist" to the text of the book. |
