Grades K through 12
School: Wilderness Oak, San Antonio, TX
Planned By: Lindsay Richard
Original Author: Lindsay Richard, San Antonio
1. First day of school take a picture of your students individually standing against a wall with some sort of marker to show height.
2. Download picture on computer and save on student's personal file.
3. Begin a power point slide presentation or photo story that students will add to throughout the year. Students create opening page with their name (Sam's First Grade Year!), teachers name, year, and school name.
3. Throughout the year pick opportunities of students to use classroom cameras to record activities, triumphs, milestones, fun and special days, events, etc. As students take pictures have them download pictures into their file. Studnets can copy and paste pictures as they go into their power point or photo story. Students can add a journal entry to describe the event or activity and add the date to their picture. Students who cannot type can use voice recorders to download their thoughts verbally.
4. The last week of school take pictures of the students individually again in the same spot with height marker to show how much they have grown. Have this picture be the last slide or photo in presentation.
5. In a seperate shared file add songs for students to choose from to add to their presentation.
6. Burn onto CD so students and parents can have a digital yearbook to keep forever!
