1. Choose a letter or beginning digraph that your class is learning about. Read an alphabet book to introduce the sound. Listen for words that begin with that sound.

2. Tell students they are going on a letter hunt. Their mission is to look in the classroom/school for objects that begin with the letter/digraph and take a picture of the object.

3. In computer lab the students will download their pictures into word and type the name of the object under the picture. Print.

4. Teacher will bind pictures into a class book. Place in class library for students to read. This is a great tool to review with students throughout the year.

My kids have a blast with this project! Right now because I only have my personal camera I assign this project to a small group of higher leveled students. They present it to the lower leveled groups.
