Tech-Smart from the Start

1. The teacher will model and share effective tools, strategies, and author's craft that authors use in their writing by looking at touch-stone texts, as well as student writing, with the use of the document camera. The teacher can capture video, images, and video to enhance the lessons and which students can refer back to in later lessons. This will allow students the opportunity to reflect on their writing and focus on areas of needs and share areas of strength.
2. Students will participate in the writer's workshop by editing and revising in whole groups through the use of the document camera. Students can immediately form groups and ask and receive feedback on the work in progress.
3. Students will then share their published works to their peers as well as other classrooms increasing student engagement and participation making the lessons more lively and exciting.
