"Hi, Honey, what did you do at school today? " Page Views: 218

Objective: Give children a point of reference, through digital photos displayed in their school, from which they can engage their parents in a conversation about what they did at school that day. Moreover, I believe these photo displays have the potential to bolster self esteem in the child as they impart a sense of "Hey, my Mom/Dad sees that I built that big tower out of blocks!" Parent and child will be connected in a way that wasn't possible before in a school setting.
Requirements: Your school should have an established policy on taking and displaying photographs of the children. (Having said that, I feel that pictures should not be taken or displayed if it is against a child's wishes.) You will need a digital camera, a digital photo frame, and a USB cable; or some other workable means of transferring pictures from the camera to the photo display. Personnel will need to be trained in using the camera, the photo frame, and how to transfer pictures.
Action plan: Throughout the day, teachers can take candid, or not so candid, pictures of the children as they go about their business. These snapshots should then be uploaded to the photo frame prior to the time the parents pick up their children.
