Making Reading Come to Life...Literally is a project in which my students would be creating their own characters and composing a story using a story map. Upon completing their story map, my students will then create their characters to make reading come to life literally.

Each student will complete his/her own story map which will detail the events of the story. After conferencing with me, my students will then build their characters and props using clay. The clay will be kept in plastic to secure their elasticity.

My students will then take pictures of their clay figures moving them slightly after each frame.

When my students have compiled anywhere from 100 to 200 pictures, we will then load them to our classroom computers and make them into movies.
