1. A Crime scene is set up prior to the arrival of the "CSI detectives".

2. Student groups/teams will observe and take pictures of the crime scene and all of the evidence.

3. In the "lab" students will analyse and critique all the crime scene evidence.

4. The emphasis in each lab is on a different type of evidence process, but each lab will begin the same, with the staged crime scene and pictures taken of the evidence and surrounding area.

5. One of the first labs preformed will be the use of photography in analysis, and justification of the innocence/guilt verdict.

6. To properly analyze the photography, prints and enlargements are examined. The students will be taught how to take pictures and assure the highest quality of images available using photography.

This experience will be repeated throughout the year and become part of the performance event.

Cross-Curriculum Ideas
This class will enable the students to get a hands on feel for a possible careers. The students will gain exposure to photography, law enforcement, or science applications.
Follow-Up
The use of photography will be utilized through out the year long course. The students are assessed on the "case work" associated with each type of crime.
