The students will work in pairs comprised of one marketing student and one freshman health student. They will choose a unique product and concentrate on the nutritional facts that are on the product package.

The health student and marketing student will work together to create a Podcast of the product’s nutrition facts. The two groups of students need to work together to design a skit that portrays an aspect of the product. The students will take an actual picture of the product and their group members. The marketing student will scan the product package into the computer. They will utilize Camtasia Studio. The requirements will be to retrieve the scanned document of the product, name the product and verbally go through the nutritional facts using a microphone. The students will explain what is listed on their product’s nutritional facts (ex. calories, sodium, etc.). The students will attempt to decipher whether the product is healthy or not healthy and tell why. They will use facts to back up their decision.

The final project will be to create a webpage with links to each Podcast that may be used by the health teacher for future use. Each Podcast will be saved on the Intranet.
