Keywords: poetry, postmodern, multimedia
Subject(s): English/Language Arts
Grades 6 through 12
School: Charter Conservatory for Liberal Arts & Technology, Statesboro, GA
Planned By: Jo Ann Steffen
Original Author: Jo Ann Steffen, Statesboro
After looking at and playing with the three examples of postmodern poetry, "Seattle Drift," "Lullaby" and "Vertigo," students will either write their own poem or choose one appropriate for the literature class (American, World, English, etc.).

Students will then explore ways to make the chosen poem interactive with multimedia (digital photos, video clips, hot links, animation, mpgs, etc.)

Students will publish these poems on their websites.

The class will access these and write critiques. After each student makes revisions and edits, we will invite the community for an interactive poetry museum walk through.
Cross-Curriculum Ideas
Social Studies classes can use the same idea, published in a wiki format, for units of study.
