Students are split into small groups, each given a digital camera for a specified length of time. As a team, they take photos of what their life is like in that grade. Each team has a captain. Together the team edits and evaluates the photos, choosing which photos they feel gives an impression of part of their school day. This can also include time before and after school, such as school sports and activities, or just waiting for the morning bus.
After all teams have selected their photos, the class works together to order the photos, and select music. The class creates a slideshow which is then shown to other classes and parents. After the presentation, the class asks for feedback on what the audiance has learned.
