Digital Monochromatic Self Portraits

The teacher will introduce the lesson by showing students self portraits by famous artists. Artists from Michelangelo to Andy Warhol will be discussed so students can observe the integration of technology in self portraits. The students will select a pose that best illustrates their personality. The students may wear sunglasses, ball caps, anything that helps to show their true inner self. The students will print their digital self portraits and use an opaque projector to enlarge image. The students will then trace portraits and select one color to use in their portraits. The students will create light and dark values by mixing black and white paint with selected color. These images will make an awesome display for any school!
