Materials needed:
*teacher made questionnare about holidays
*pencil
*paper
*digital cameras
*computer and printer (preferably a lab- we have 4 computers per room)
*publishing software program (like Microsoft Publisher or Power Point)
*digital projector (for displaying slideshows to class and parents)


Students will be given a questionnaire to take home with questions about how they celebrate their own cultural holidays and use the information to create a written report about their traditions.

They will take pictures of their family celebrating the holiday(s) and learn how to upload them to a computer, then insert them into a slideshow using Microsoft Power Point.

The written report information will be included in the slideshow.

Students will animate, add sounds and create transitions for their slideshow as well.

Parents will be invited to a special presentation of the shows as we share our cultural differences and celebrate!
