Making Memories In First Grade

The digital camera will be used on a daily basis by the students. They will be taught how to correctly use the camera. As my students take pictures, they will decide which pictures they would like to include in our class book. Each picture will have writings from the children with it in our book. We will work on writing in complete sentences, using correct punctuation, and adding interesting words to our writing. We will post our writings and pictures on the school web site for other members of our community to view. We will research finding another school with whom we might be able to become pen pals with. The digital camera will also be used for any special project in our classroom such as Mother's Day or Grandparents Day. We will be able to take pictures of ourselves , add writings and stories and share with many people.
