Teacher will utilize a computer and projector to model steps of this lesson as needed.
Students will research various renewable and non-renewable energy sources and develop a list of pros and cons for each. Research will include the use of computer-based reference sources and the Internet.
Students will have access to computers with Internet access and word processing software that allows them to create graphic organizers.
Students will create a graphic organizers that incorporate the use of clip art images to create a final document that includes at least 3 renewable energy sources, and 3 non-renewable energy sources. The graphic organizer/s should be of the students' choice but should be appropriate for the purpose of comparing and contrasting renewable and non-renewable resources and the benefits and drawbacks of each.
Each energy source should include at least 1 benefit and 1 drawback.
