Step 1 - The class will submit e-mails to the teacher about things they would like to know how to make for the rest of their lives.
Step 2 - The teacher will compile the information and the class will discuss which 15 things they would like to make. Be sure to discuss things like - feasibility - would you be able to make it at home later? do you have the materials to make the item?
Step 3 - Fundraise for the ingredients.
Step 4 - Take weekly shopping trips to get the ingredients. Be sure to take pictures of where in the store you found the item.
Step 5 - Make the items (one item per week). Rotate jobs - photographer, baker, etc. The photographer will take pictures of each step in the process of making the item.
Step 6 - Compile the pictures into a cookbook using online album makers such as picaboo or mixbook.
Step 7 - Have students who didn't help create the photo recipe try to follow the recipe and recreate the item. Edit recipe as necessary.
Step 8 - Create order forms and sell the cookbooks.
*Note* Be sure to get photo releases from parents to use student pictures in the album. |
