This includes map reading, internet searches, and use of electronic World Book encyclopedia. identifying flora and fauna, and reading a novel set in the Everglades - The Talking Earth by Jean Craighead George. Science and Social Studies Textbooks
Students learn about forms of pollution that impact the Everglades. This is achieved by a visit from the local Water Management, a hands on scientific field trip, followed by a trip to the local waste management plan.
Using their notes, photos and video they have created students assemble a podcast. These podcasts are shared with other students through mp3 players and Viewing by LCD projection.

To create the podcast students must use the software to outline the problems being faced by the Everglades, the causes of these problems, and ways of reducing the problems. These outlines are created on slides and are illustrated by still or video clips that students have created while on field trips.
