Kindergarten teachers took pictures during the season of their choice of different visuals that made you think of that season. Such as snow, snowmen, hats, mittens and football for winter.
All of the pictures that were taken were then uploaded onto the server so that the students could use them. Students also drew one picture using a program called Pixie and that digitized picture was also used in the Photo Story as well.
Next students came to the computer lab, logged in and were told how to navigate to find the folder with the pictures. Then students opened up PhotoStory and learned how to add the pictures to their story. Students spent that first day in the lab just choosing their pictures.
The second day in the lab students were taught how to type text on the picture. Students were responsible for punctuation and spelling.
The third day students were taught how to add slide transitions and music.
In the very last part of the project students recorded their voices over the slideshow as they told what each slide was about. Students also checked their slides to make sure everything was just how they wanted.
Finally, students presented their PhotoStories to their classmates.
