Teacher types weekly vocabulary words from new story. Vocabuary words will be typed and printed on regular white or colored paper. Then the words will be cut and place in any order on a Wall Pocket Chart. Student using a 1-minute timer calls out as many words in one minute. Then counts and writes the number of correct words said. Repeats 1-minute timer, again calls out as many words in one minute; Repeats for the third time. Student may use a writing journal, dates and shows number of words called correctly.
Student vocabulary will increase, therefore reading fluency will also increase.
