This will be a K-8 Lesson.

Each teacher will be asked to supply me with three historical people and three historical events for their particular class and whic subject these correspond with.

Example: The Eigth Grade Teacher writes down Dorothy Day as one of her historical figures. She explains that in Religion this year her class will be talking about Poverty. Dorothy Day was a champion for the poor of the United States.

I would then investigate sources that can help the student obtain information on her. Part of every lesson would be to have a discussion about this person and a short journal time to type their thoughts in their journals which can be an ongoing process through the year. This would allow the teacher to highlight some historical events and people in depth.
