The first day of school I take their picture for the scrapbook. The scrapbook is a three ring binder (one for each student) that is on a shelf in the room with their name on the spine. We write poems and put thinking maps in the scrapbook. I take pictures of special events or any awards the student get during the year for their scrapbook. The student is allowed to put any work they want to go in their scrapbook. At the end of the year we take a class picture to put on the front. The students have a memory forever of first grade.
