Geometry in Real life Setting Page Views: 226
|
Prior to this project, the teacher will explain the concepts and engage students to solving related problems. Aside from this, they will be taught how to use the camera to focus on a subject.
The students are each provided with cameras. They are given a list of geometry concepts (usually 10) that they must capture through taking pictures. They print the pictures and make a scrap book out of it. Each page has one geometry concept, its definition, its picture and a short description of the picture to know how the picture relates to the concept. At the last page of the scrap book, the students will write their reflection upon doing the project.
The students will be given a rubric for this project. Criteria involve organization of ideas, clarity or quality of pictures, resourcefulness, over all presentation and content.

Follow-Up |
A good follow up would be to present the pictures in the class through a powerpoint presentation. This time they would involve solving problems. |
