Time to take a walk on the wild side. Objective: The learner will write a paragraph or essay and draw a picture in paint or themselves in a future world in 20 years.
Secondary objective:Social recognition of future self
Teacher will give stu8dents a sheet with these questions from 3rd to 5th
for K-2nd you may want to ask then have them draw in paint first.
What will you be doing in 2o years? What will you drive to work? How will your children learn at school? What will you wear then? What great invention will change the world? What will your house look like? Where will you visit ? What will you find looking around your room? What will your job be like then? Who will be president then?
Have students answer the questions on paper or in a word processor. THen have each student read the answers in a podcast. Have them create a picture in paint of this future world.
Upload to a website if possible with their pictures!
Assessment is completion of podcast and picture.
Science, reading, writing, social science and technology are all touched by this assignment.
If you are really savvy have them write just their ansers and treat it like a coll futuristic news reporter interview! |
