Podcasting for STEM

Needs:

Computer Lab
Camera
Microphone
Media Editing Software

Students should call local businesses that are focused on science and math technologies and ask for interviews either at the school or at the workplace.

Students conduct interviews with workers, asking how math and science play into their jobs, what courses and degrees are required, what their favorite subjects were, who got the workers excited about technology jobs, etc.

Back in the computer lab, students then edit their pictures and add either audio of themselves (for podcasts or documentaries) and compile the work into a podcast (or powerpoint) presentation to be shared with peers.
