Three 4th grade classroom will participate in a caring project called "Let Freedom Be Seen". Every month, the three classrooms will randomly choose a US soldier from anysoldier.com
Following a discussion on what freedom means to them, each student will be given the opportunity to take a picture of what freedom means to them. At the end of the month, the pictures will be displayed (using an InFocus machine and a smartboard)and the teacher will facilitate a discussion on the photos taken. The students will decide on which photos to send (may be all of them). Accompanying the photos, the students will write to the designated soldier why the photograph was taken and what it means to them. The students will convey in their letters their gratitude to the soldier for their dedication and commitment to serving our country.
This project hopefully will start when we get cameras for the students and it will last until the end of the school year.

Thank You!
