Students will make a glossary to demonstrate their learning of another language.

-Using digital cameras, explain functionality and features specific to model

-assign students various terms related to school terms, such as people (e.g. librarian, nurse, custodian, places (e.g. cafeteria, hallway, bathroom), and things (e.g. window, printer, painting)

-break students into groups to take pictures of these things around school (for advanced students, ask for multiple pictures of different looking examples--i.e. multiple paintings)

-return to classroom to download pictures and create glossary of these terms, using text and digital picture together, in both English and target language

Options:
-create slideshow with all pictures (without text at first) to quiz students on their knowledge of target language vocabulary

-post signs throughout school where they were taken with only target language to aid in acquisition of target language

-use pictures in English to assist ESOL students or Special Education students

-create flashcards in both languages to help students in need of assistance in mastering target language vocabulary
