Subject(s): English/Language Arts, Photography
Grades 6 through 8
School: Pineville High School, Pineville, LA
Planned By: Kathy Bennett
Original Author: Kathy Bennett, Alexandria
This lesson is not just your ordinary documentary. The students will have to write a story telling what school was like back in 1957. They will put themselves back in time to tell a story about what it was like to go to school at Alexandria Junior High when it was first built. We will use the first yearbook to see if we can locate individuals still living that went to school here and interview them as well as get old pictures to put into our story.

Using old pictures and new ones the students will use Tool Factory Movie Maker software to insert their pictures and/or videos they have. Then they will put audio and music together for their story. The students will use a photo editing software to edit any photos they need to touch and/or edit.
