Have students form groups of 2 or 3. Each group will be assigned a vocabulary word to research and illustrate.

Research for the word should include: definition, part of speech, any synonyms or antonyms, sentence in literature and a sentence of their own creation.

Illustration of the vocabulary word will be a still picture of the object that the word represents, students acting out the word for a still photograph that will convey the meaning of the word or any other creative way that students want to use to illustrate the meaning of the word.

Students will then use the research information and their photograph to create a slide for a slide show presentation. They will download their photograph to the slide and creatively add their research information to the slide. Each group's slide will be added to the class slide show to creat one digital Visual Vocabulary Book for that lesson or theme.
