The learner will gather information from ESPN, ABC, NBC, CBS and other applicable networks.

The learner will watch online streaming of sporting news to watch sports commentators.

The learner will have a visit from a professional sports caster to talk and ask questions of them for their assignments.

The children will start off gathering information when the Olympics begin. We will have a large chart in the classroom of every country that is participating in the Winter Olympics.

As the events take place, the children will add the information to the chart for the winners.

After finding the winners, the children will divide the winners up and research those winners so that they can find all of the background information on those athletes.

The children will watch and interview sports casters, so that they know what they need to do to complete a good interview.

The children will sit down in groups and they will plan an interview with a winning athlete.

Students will study the information that they research and then the students will take turns, one being the athlete and one being the sports reporter.

Students will learn how to create podcasts. Then they will take turns taping each others interviews.

When finished, students will have a screening of their reporting and interviewing.
