Materials: student cameras (2-5 per class), digital picture printer, small notepads (one per group), school bus, pencils, writing paper, hardcover book binding kit (optional)

Procedures:
Day 1
1.Take a trip to different key places in the community (i.e. bakery, grocery store, library, police stations or firehouse, park, stadium).
2. Allow student groups to take five pictures at each stop.
3. Invite students to describe each location using adjectives that come to mind while there.
3. Print out pictures for each group

Day 2
1. Pass out pictures to each group.
2. Invite students to sequence the photos from first to last on the class trip.
3. Have students choose/edit to one or two photos from each stop
4. Using their adjectives written on notepad, invite groups to write a first draft about their trip "Around Town"
5. Upon editing and writing of final draft, final draft is to be bound (optional) and shared with students in another grade.

Assessment: Assess understanding of sequencing skills
