Introduce living and non-living items with classroom examples. Read aloud Science materials. With students' help, generate a list of living and non-living items. Instruct proper use of digital cameras. Explain that students will go around the school and take pictures of living and non-living items. Once all students have participated, create a PowerPoint slideshow. During slideshow, have students identify if an item is lviing or non-living. For further work, print pictures and allow students to create a living and non-living collage.
Follow-Up
Print and create a collage of living and non-living. Have students identify and write differences between selected photographs.
