Groups: Students will be divided in Heterogeneous allowing students to excel in areas of strength and be supported in areas of weakness.
Objective: Students will engage in an extensive market simulation covering material from chapters 1, 2, 3, 5, & 6. The simulation will include but not be limited to the 4 P¡¦s of Marketing, SWOT Analysis, Business Ethics, Global Marketing, and Maslow¡¦s Hierarchy of Needs.
Suddzy Shampoo has decided to go international and would like to open a division in Turkey. The management team is confident that Suddzy will succeed in Turkey and is looking for a team of marketing professionals to head the start of the foreign division. We are asking that interested parties prepare an extensive presentation to present to the board of directors as well as other top management personnel. Below you will find a list of information to include in your presentation. Please use visual items when presenting. Remember to use the ¡§wow¡¨ factor!
4P¡¦s 30 pts ƒæ Product: Packaging ƒæ Place: Internet or store locations ƒæ Price: Selling price for Suddzy Shampoo ƒæ Promotion: Must include 2 pieces of print advertisement (Billboard, newspaper, or Magazine ad) o You will be required to present 2 different ads directed to 2 of Maslow¡¦s Hierarchy of needs. (note, type of ad can be the same¡Kmessage should be different and based on selected need)
SWOT Analysis 30 pts ľ Focus on the external portions of the SWOT analysis.
Business Ethics 20 pts ľ Write a brief code of ethics for employees that will work in the Turkey office. o Should consist of 10 simple appropriate ethical behaviors for the work place keeping in mind the surrounding culture.
Global Marketing 10 pts ľ When creating various aspects of your presentation remember the different elements that make up a culture; values, language, myths, customs, rituals, laws, and material artifacts.
¡§Wow¡¨ Factor 10 pts ƒæ Think outside the box. Remember your team is trying to win this competition. When presenting be creative and dynamic. |
