Benton Middle School News Cast

Using a video camera, software, microphones, lights, and any other audio visual needs, students will write and produce a news broadcast for Benton Middle School.

Step 1: students will gather all information from the principal, teachers, coaches, club sponsors, etc. who would like information recorded on the daily broadcast.

Step 2: Students will brain storm about an ideas that they have for special segments of the news cast.

Step 3: Students will be assigned jobs based on their strengths and begin the process of planning the news cast.

Step 4: The special segments team will go out and record the special segments. After the special segments have been recorded, students will return to the room to edit the special segments and prepare them to be broadcast.

Step 5: The writing team will begin the process of writing the scripts for the news broad cast. One student will enter the final script into the teleprompter software to be used to record.

Step 6: RECORD the news broadcast. Students with the assistance of the teacher will record the broadcast.

Step 7: Once the final broadcast has been completed, students will upload the broadcast to the internet for teachers and students to view.
