Sample topic - since the bundle has different subjects, something like this lesson could be modified for them:
Forces and Motion

Objectives:
Investigate and describe types of forces including contact forces and forces acting at a distance such as electrical, magnetic, gravitational.

Essential Question: How do objects react to forces?

1. Using the graphic novel "A Crash Course in Forces and Motion with Max Axiom Super Scientist" students will work in small groups to read and discuss the different sections. Each group will create a Power Point presentation of the section they are assigned and present it to the class on the white board.

Assessment: Self and Peer evaluation rubric (students) and Presentation rubric and Cooperative group participation rubric (teacher).

2. Individually, students will use their online text to participate in interactive activities for each section of the chapter.

Assessment: Teacher made quizzes and online chapter test

3. Students will use simulations from software such as Science Stars Underwater Rescue, to participate in interactive adventures and activities to extend their understanding of the science topic, Forces and Motion.

Assessment: Use of records from the software to monitor progress and skill attainment
Cross-Curriculum Ideas
When creating presentations, students will use the Writing process to plan the written part of their presentations. Students will use technology skills to create presentations from Microsoft Power Point.
Follow-Up
Use the simulations to help prepare for state testing.
