School: West Morris Central High Sch, Chester, NJ
Planned By: Natalie Vazquez
Original Author: Natalie Vazquez, Chester
Students have spent ample time reading, discussing, and analyzing Julius Caesar. They have reviewed major themes, important conflicts, and characterized the cast. Students have also identified ways that conflicts such as untrustworthy friends and corrupt leaders can be linked to contemporary issues. As a result, the final project for this unit will be a Modern Adaptation of the play. Students will collaborate with peers in small groups to compose a formal script using Google Docs, and will use Animoto, YouTube, or other digital storytelling tools to create their video. Each group will be expected to publish their final product and present it to the entire class.
