At the end of the short story The Monkey's Paw, the demised character of Herbert arrives at the house due to the ill-advised wish his parents make on the enchanted token monkey paw. Students must develop an ending to the story told from the perspective of either the parents or Herbert. Stories must be developed using details from the original story and must stay true to the setting, events and other characters.
Students will then create "sketches" of the characters from their stories on a 3-D printer and use them to create an original short movie "sequel" to the story The Monkey's Paw. |

Students will "screen" their movies at the red carpet event at school and be graded on audience reaction and content. |
