My classroom is very unique. I do not believe that science should be a lecture based experience. The best way to excite the next generation about science is to have them actively participate. Even though my classroom does not have access to gas and electric at every desk, the moveable desks give me the chance to rearrange the room and incorporate the students into the lessons.
I believe that if we are to continue to be the most innovative country in the world, we need to use technology and innovation in the classroom. The more we can make the science classroom more like a lab where students can explore and learn and imagine, the more likely we are to train the next generation of leaders for our country.
The best possible situation would be an entire new classroom, but since that is not possible, I want to add as many pieces of technology that I can to help my students become the innovators of tomorrow.
