Class Description:
My students are eager to learn. About 59% of my students are ELL (English Language Learners). I also have a high percent of low socioeconmic students. Parents are able to provide essentials for the classroom. My students are very visual learners. They respond well to PowerPoints that teach and virtual fieldtrips.

I am trying to implement more hands on project-learning activities in the classroom. I am in need of at least one digital camera, an Airliner, camcorder, and bookshelves.
My Philosophy:
The keys to learning is showing up for class physically, emotionally, and socially. You always learn when you contribute to the process.

I have taught at my school for 4.5 years. I am the third grade team leader. I was recently nominated Teacher of the Year by my fellow collegues.

I teach to inspire children to become skilled readers, writers, and mathematicans armed with the strategies needed to be successful students and citizens.
