Students are pulled into the Learning Center for Direct and small group instruction in order to target specific skill deficits to increase learning and close achievement gaps in the general education classroom.

Personal Information:
About Me:
I have been teaching for the past 15 years. Two of those years were in general education. I felt I could you my knowledge and power of good to better serve students who are failing to achieve and struggling just to maintain.
College and Degrees:
I graduated from UCLA with a dual degree in History and Afro-American Studies. I received my preliminary Mild-Moderate teaching credential from CSULA. In addition, i have completed my Administrative Credential at CSUDH although I have no desire to leave the classroom.

LAUSD-59th Street Elementary School since 1996.
Why Do I Teach?:
I truly teach...because I care! I get a great feeling when I am able to reach and teach a child who has previously been unsucessful and see the light finally turn on! It is one of the most wonderful rewards of teaching when a child smiles and laughs because they finally get it!
