I teach a self-contained history class that has students with cross-spectrum disabilities. We are an energetic group working on improving literacy and critical thinking skills to prepare ourselves for being productive citizens.

Needs:
My students are high-needs students. Not only do many of them have learning disabilities or behavioral problems, they are also faced with the challenges of their neighborhoods and family life.
My Philosophy:
All students can learn. They may not be in advanced mathematics, but they can learn to be a productive person. It is up to me to guide my students to the skill sets necessary to be an adult.

I grew up in Florida and moved to Chicago to become a teacher. I've worked with students with various disabilities and am hoping to further work towards assisting teachers in developing themselves to be the best teacher they can with students of all levels.
